First Time at Shepherds Harvest- Breeding Group for Sale!
I will be at Shepherds Harvest this May 9th & 10th exhibiting at the North Star Farmers’ booth inside the sheep barn. That’s because I will be bringing 5 of my fiber lambs up – a perfect starter flock! They will be for sale and available to take home by new owners at the end of the event. Arrangements and payments will need to be made ahead of the weekend – especially by out of state purchasers so vet health certificates can be arranged. The group, pictured below, includes a brown ram (brown is recessive so he can sire lambs of all colors), ewes of each color – white, black and brown – and a white wether to keep the ram company when he is excluded from ewes for controlling lambing dates. The ram is un- or distantly related to any of the girls. The three ewe lambs are bottle raised so are extra friendly! This group will be sold for $1800, an over 12% discount from standard pricing. Contact me at 715.220.1183 if interested.

Wool Items for Sale
I will also be vending wool from my flock in various stages of processing – including raw skirted fleece, rovings, and yarn of various weights. All my wool is minimally processed and undyed. Some is combined with other fibers to increase durability for use in knitting socks. I will be entering a number of my flock’s fleeces in the fleece competition in hopes of repeating my Reserve Champion Best of Show Colored Fleece from 2025!

North Star Farmers – Joint Project
The booth will also feature items made with fiber from our 4 North Star Farmers’ farms. We’ve blended fiber from yak, alpaca, Angora goat, 2 breeds of sheep, bamboo and Tencel to make a wonderfully warm and durable blended yarn. We will have on hand socks made from the yarn as well as items where the yarn provides the decorative/functional trim: Upcycled Cashmere headbands, hats, and upcycled wool mittens. (pictures to come). We are proud of our efforts as a 501(c)3 non-for-profit to raise and process our fibers locally and educate the public about fiber and fiber farming. The socks qualify for Minnesota grown designation with the state’s marketing program that requires 80% Minnesota grown content. Our goal is to educate the public on the wonders (and work involved) in producing and processing these environmentally friendly fibers.
Come find us in the sheep barn! These fibers need to be felt to be appreciated!
