The Finn X Babydoll wool is part of my breeding project – trying to lengthen the Babydoll fiber yet maintain it’s low (wet) feltibility so it can be machine washed on gentle = natural superwash wool. The Finn heritage also contributes gorgeous sheen and a brighter white. The crimp is more relaxed/longer. The higher the Babydoll percentage the less likely the wool will wet felt. These fleeces were not as carefully skirted as the Babydoll ones were at the time of shearing, so a greater portion of the raw/initial weight will be lost in the final skirting (perhaps 25% vs. 10%) – will update when actual skirting occurs.

- An * by the name indicates this will be retained to exhibit in the Shepherds’ Harvest fleece competition.
- As the fleece bag labels indicate, the majority of these fleeces are half year/ 6 month growth.
