3/12/22 Carly X Bennet
Carly lambed early relative to ultrasound predictions but produced full sized lambs. Unfortunately I lost her to an infection I didn’t catch soon enough. Her boys were fun bottle babies now off to other pastures with a family of elementary school aged kids – perfect!!
3/18/22 LaNina X Ivan
Nina is a leader in birthing as she is in flock management, producing twins conceived the first day the ram visited. Thankfully she had a ewe and a ram.

Jane lambed earlier than we expected but I’m glad she didn’t wait any longer. She needed my help to deliver both boys each just over 10 pounds. Good work old girl(s)!

An aha moment… Ivan IS carrying just one copy of the “whitewash” gene so can have black babies! Georgia birthed these guys DURING shearing on Sunday morning – 3 hours apart.

Dayna chose a nighttime debut for her 2022 lamb, Kasey. He’s quite adventuresome in spite of his smallness relative to the older lambs, but Dayna keeps a close eye on him. SOLD

The tide of boys continues! Doris was kind enough to produce these 2 before lights out for the midwives. Konrad was slow to learn to nurse from mom, but we’re glad he finally figured it out.

Eleanor stuck to just one kidlet this year. Keeping track of just him is keeping her on her toes!

I usually breed white to white, but Sara’s boy, Ivan, was the white ram for this year, so Sara was bred to Bennet. The result is this lovely and lively little girl, Katja.
4/29/22 Estelle x Bennet
Estelle lambed in July last year so it isn’t surprising that she is a bit delayed this year, too. She did come through for me with TWO little white girls.
5/6/22 Dixie x Bennet
This lady kept us waiting an eternity! We had ultrasound data that indicted a 3/18 due date, but noooooo. She held out until the very end and produced 2 reasonably normal sized lambs – fewer and smaller than her girth suggested she might deliver.
