3/18/25 Flossie x Maxwell
Flossie led the flock this year producing 3 black rams with cute HST markings (Heads/Socks/Tails). Her udder was huge but her hungry boys are helping reduce it. Sampson (Green) and Samuel (Purple) are bottle babies. Sanford (Pink is a momma’s boy.)

3/18/25 Heliana x Oliver (lambs 66% Finn 34% Babydoll)
Heliana is a flock leader and she almost led the flock in lambing. She just had 2 lambs this year and they were big. Luckily (or sadly?) no bottle babies from her. Sawyer’s cute little forehead swoosh doe not disqualify his from being classed as black.

3/20/25 Daphne x Maxwell (lambs 69% Finn 31% Babydoll)
I was dubious but Daphne’s delivery of just 2 lambs gives the vet’s ultrasounds a bit more credibility. Beautiful twins birthed unassisted and nursing well.

3/22/25 Janessa x Oliver (lambs 66% Finn 34% Babydoll)
I have no explanation for how we can get a white lamb from 2 brown parents, but reality rules! Janessa had a difficult birthing process and lost 2 brown rams – one very undersized. We are happy with her live ram lamb, Sergio. She is doting on him – big time!

3/23/25 Elly Mae x Maxwell (lambs 75% Finn 25% Babydoll)
We were waiting for Elly Mae to drop her usual large number of lambs – typically 4, but are pleased with her healthy 2 that she is nursing all by herself. Daughter has an unusual black splotch under chin on her otherwise white self. These are/will be the highest Finn lambs of the season.

The ewes are oddly slow to lamb this year – Daria is a full 8 days late according to her ultrasounded measurements. Harriet, Touey, and Marla are also overdue. I just hope this doesn’t result in monster lambs that have difficulty passing through birth canal!
